Same 'Adrenaline' in new venue

After kicking off the first semester of the 2011-2012 academic year with Genesis last September, the Attica fraternity is currently making preparations to host the second leg of their annual party series, starting with their premiere 'drink up' event, Guinness Adrenaline.
The Taylor Hall, University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona campus outfit will host the party at the UWI Students' Union for the first time. And, according to Attica's entertainment chairperson, Rohan 'Post' Stephenson, despite the change in venue, the same fun-filled experience is expected.
"This semester, there have been some changes and we have accommodated such by moving the event to the Students' Union. But I can assure the patrons that the vibe and the experience that Attica is known to deliver will remain constant with the event or even exceed previous stages, because now we are able to do more with the venue and house more patrons," he said.
The party is on Friday, February 24, from 9 p.m. onwards.
Guinness Adrenaline is dubbed 'The Lifeline Seductively Pumping', and Stephenson disclosed that he and his committee are plotting an adrenaline rush.
"As the name implies, Adrenaline is about high energy, so just expect non-stop energy until morning. We will have ladies beautifully attired parading in the event, giving patrons a feeling of the intended treat. The venue will be fully decorated to give that outdoor clubbing experience. We just implore our loyal patrons to come out and enjoy an absolutely must-go event," he said.
The party will feature special Guinness deals, as well as mixes, with ladies allowed free entry before 11:59 p.m.
"Guinness is on-board this year and so patrons will be able to bask in the deals to be offered on the night such as the affordable bucket deal. There will also be free mixed liquor available to all patrons, because we try to maintain an element of appreciation to our customers at all times and nobody will leave Adrenaline saying they did not get value for their money," Stephenson promised.
Presold tickets for males are $350 each and, at the gate, men pay $499. Ladies will be asked to pay $250 after midnight.
The musical 'Adrenaline rush' will be delivered by popular sound system Code Red, along with Outlaws, DJ Granty, DJ Spinn and DJ Blazey.
Taylor Hall's entertainment chairperson, Miguel 'Gramma Zone' Reid, also has high expectations of the party. According to Reid, Adrenaline is one of the most anticipated events on campus.
"This event has always maintained a good following and normally delivers an exclusively high-energy type of vibe," he said.
Attica will also host a follow-up event, Cultural Vibration, on the lawns of Taylor Hall on Saturday, February 25, featuring a variety of established and up-and-coming acts.
