Stages hosts movie Mondays
Every Monday at 7 p.m., Stages Cinema will have a feature presentation under the banner 'Movie Mondays'.
The event was launched on Monday, January 30, with a presentation of the film titled Desperate Decisions. The film, written and directed by Paul O. Beale, was shot some six years ago and produced by Kamall McLean, a Jamaican living in New York.
This auspicious event is being used to pave the way for future Stages Film's features that will also hit the big screen at the Stages Cinema. The Stages Cinema may be found at the Stages Theatre, located at 15 Knutsford Boulevard, New Kingston. Each presentation will be preceded by previews of upcoming shows.
'Movie Mondays' tickets may be purchased any day throughout the week from the box office at the Stages Theatre.
The featured films will be taken from a list of plays that have been staged by Stages Productions over the years, as well as films done by producers outside of the Stages family, and even outside of Jamaica.

The organisation is also asking Jamaican film producers who have an interest in having their work presented on the 'big screen' to take their movies to Stages Films for screening.
The next film to be featured is Shebada Come to Town.
This is Stages Productions' and Shebada's second play. Other films in the schedule of programmes include: Bashment Granny 2, Ova Mi Dead Body, The Plumber, Serious Business, and Ghett Out, among others.
Stages Films is also anticipating the opportunity of screening a number of films from Caribbean counterparts.
