 Where's the senator?

1. Eyebrows are being raised and more questions being asked within the party and out, about the continuing delay in naming the last senator.

What were they thinking?

2. Some are saying the recommendation by some to tax slate and pencils but not electronic notebooks has many asking, "What were they thinking?" They say that recommendation and others to tax the basic food items consumed by the poor says a lot about the mindset of those making the recommendations - and it's all about preserving the status quo.

No calls yet for some!

3. Some have been sitting by their phones waiting for that all-important call advising them of their much-anticipated board appointments; and others are awaiting news of cushy jobs. Their frustration is now at boiling point and they are publicly voicing their displeasure at not being called.

Attack dogs at state home!

4. The housing problems for new officials are quite acute. Story is most of the newly elected officials still cannot access the official homes as those that have been vacated are in such disrepair, they are not fit for habitation; some are still occupied and in one case the departing tenant left a pack of dogs behind that attack everyone who attempts to gain access.

Poor management

5. Stories are making the rounds about the management of the organisation that has some questioning why no one has yet landed in jail!

Jobs for friends

6. Some are saying it's not that the big promise of jobs, jobs jobs was not kept. They say many jobs were created, but they were created for friends and relatives, with not many left to go around for the general population.

Cops hunt for weapons, drugs

7.The publicity-hungry one came in for a bit of unexpected publicity recently when the police and army personnel raided his home, reportedly searching for weapons and illicit drugs. The neighbours have been spreading the story with glee, as they say not only was it a case of déjà vu, but they contend it could not have happened to a "nicer person"!

They are fake!

8. Some are asking that the FTC investigate some merchants who are allegedly selling fake designer items for the real prices. They say the practice is so widespread, even foreigners are now complaining about being gipped.
