Spare Innocent babies
By Richard Ho Lung, diary of a ghetto priest
Death is very tempting in our times. In an age of selfishness, modern man will implode - nothing which turns on itself will last. We will destroy others and destroy ourselves.
The Dutch government has announced that euthanasia not be a hospital matter, but encourages it be done at home, facilitated by mobile clinics that will make house calls: death will come knocking at your door at your request.
The medication is available for suicide and is recommended and legalised. Holland is the leader in this radical, social and liberal agenda. Euthanasia is recommended because there is just not enough money around. Or so they think.
Abortion is recommended, and contraception (no children), euthanasia and homosexuality (no children) promoted. Everybody wants much goods and much pleasure. There isn't enough money around. This is panic about world finances. All that matters is me, my own, my little concerns, my little world. Me, me, me - we will shrivel up and die.
Suffer the little children
We had our first baby at Holy Innocents, a beautiful boy child. It was meant to be aborted. The mother, Laetitia, was raped (so she said - the story kept changing). She is 30 years old.
"I don't want the baby. I will abort it."
"We will take the baby. We will help you."
"Really? The doctor told me to abort it. My conscience says no."
"That's God's voice. Come stay at Holy Innocents."
The Missionaries of the Poor (MOP) sisters took her in and gave her a bed, food, clothes, medicine. She goes to Mass every day, and works at the Life Centre.
Laetitia becomes open, smiles, joins the sisters in their everyday activities.
The baby was born two days ago. MOP has the baby. We have many couples who want to adopt babies. The baby is called Innocent.
Then another mother, Anna, came to us, abandoned by the baby's father. She's a UWI graduate.
Then another mother, Rodina, and yet another.
Open arms to all
People come from the ghettos of Franklin Town, Denham Town, Rae Town to attend the free clinic run by the two MOP Sisters, Joanne and Melanie. There is also a day for just pregnant mothers.
Then Sunday at 10 a.m., there is a joyous celebration of Mass.
Europe and the United States have made the death wish, possessed by selfishness and the obsession with money. Don't take the money: 30 pieces of silver is not worth it. This is a warning to our country.
If we take European or American money tied in with loans and gifts for our utilities and development, the requirement being unnatural family planning which includes abortion and contraception, we will destroy ourselves.
Going against the will of God leads to hell.
We welcome pregnant women and women in crisis who don't want their little babies. Call the MOP sisters at 967-1530, or MOP Brothers at 948-6173.
