On March 4, Everett Fenton celebrated his 50th birthday at a dinner held at Golden Gate restaurant in Northside Plaza, Liguanea. Family and friends were treated to a delicious array of Chinese dishes while listening to the smooth, mellow sounds of Wayne Armond in cabaret. Every moment of the evening was fun-filled.

The role of master of ceremonies was skilfully executed by Liscarl Bell. There was a special rendition of the Aladdin theme song A Whole New World, done by Fenton's youngest daughter, Tiffany. He was toasted by his other daughter Savannah who revealed to the audience that he was always supportive, generous and loving. She said her father would usher them to school, cheer at school events and snore through their dance performances. But she proclaimed: "Above all, he is the coolest Dad!"

Other toasts were given by Fenton's nephew, Micheal Leon, and long-time family friend Arnold Aiken. Camille Fenton serenaded her husband with Whitney Houston's I Believe in You and Me to loud cheers and applause from guests. The finishing touch was a kiss.

As Fenton attempted to blow out the candles on his cake, his friends joked that he would need the help of the fire brigade. Fenton cut the cake with his wife and daughters who took turns feeding him pieces of the delicious chocolate and vanilla cake. The evening ended with electrifying tunes from Armond who had guests up on their feet dancing - a great way to end the night celebrating a milestone.
