Farm fresh fun
Murray's Jerk restaurant was once again the place to be for P.J. Stewart and his huge gathering of party hearty people two weeks ago. With ample parking and a somewhat secluded venue, the location is fast turning into an ideal day-night party location.
So, the much-anticipated Chillin' on the Farm once again lived up to expectations as guests drove in from the nation's capital and as far as the south coast to enjoy the vibe and dance the evening and night away.
At the gate, the affable Martine Wright and Maxine Hanson welcomed guests warmly as they arrived and immediately upon entering, those on the hunt for the latest European models from ATL Motors saw the shiny new wheels strategically parked for their viewing pleasure. There were numerous photo ops with the brands.
Absolut vodka straight up or combined with a number of mixers, Appleton rum, Red Bull and Tru-Juice, kept imbibers happy while the more health conscious stuck to the mountain of jelly coconut and sweet, sweet sugar cane on offer. The food court had more than enough for all, including Michael Foster's signature succulent jerked chicken and pork, Hamilton's smoked sausages and a wide variety of other Jamaican favourites. These included Juici Patties, CB Chicken, vegetable pasta, roti, escoveitched fish and festival.
As with most parties these days, the men cluster together drinking, the women sit on the comfortable sofas provided until they can no longer resist the pulsating sounds of Renaissance Disco and gravitate to the dance floor to sweat it out.
