Tuesday Talk
Scalpers in full sight
1. Whew! It's been that kind of weekend on the 'Rock'. Some persons have expressed deep surprise to see scalpers operating in front of and in full sight of the ticket booths set up at the Stadium for the just-concluded Senior National Trials. Having regard to the ease with which scalpers were able to get tickets when ordinary people could not has raised some serious questions for the JAAA who is hoping to launch an investigation.
Banned for life
2. Imagine being banned for life from seeking employment with a specific place of business. That is the position in which one man has found himself after nearly two decades of employment. His too-many breaches have landed him out of job and permanently on the bread line.
Top man
3. How long will the international continue to encourage life support for the local operation is anybody's guess, but one top man has started sending out feelers he doesn't want to be around when the shutters are drawn.
Silence is golden
4. Whoever said "silence is golden" did not truly understand a people's need for reassurance and hope in times of uncertainty. But who will speak everyone is asking?
Political allies
5. They were political allies before they became business partners. However, one partner's demand for money has created a cool atmosphere in the office and there is every indication that a parting of the ways is in the offing.
