Anxious to fill their goody bags with baby treats, seasoned, new and proud parents-to-be came out as soon as the gates were open to the second staging of Boy O Boy's Big Baby Shower held last Sunday, July 8, at Devon House.

Again, upon entering, persons were registered and given a 'passport' - a booklet with a one-page summary on each booth - that they had to get stamped for a chance to win the grand prize of an ultimate dream nursery.

There were stamps apelenty topping last year's, giving patrons a good run in an effort to have them collect as many stamps as possible. This year, there were more than 15 new companies on board.

Not to be outdone by the 'senior baby entrepreneurs', newcomer Taylord4babies snatched the prize for best booth. And WattsNew ensured daddies enjoyed their lounge with the Wiis and PlayStation games and, of course, huge TVs they provided.

In an effort to cool down the mommies, their lounge was fitted with air-conditioning units and, of course, a wet bar. With Rainbowland not far away offering free babysitting services, moms could give their undivided attention to the various speakers. Ranging from skincare to baby product must-haves, the presenters left no stone unturned about parenthood.

Games and other activities were, as usual, the highlight of the day as parents allowed their inner child to shine. And what better way to reward than with gift certificates, baskets and baby products!
