Beenie Man aims to impress at Reggae Sumfest tonight
Dancehall entertainer and self-proclaimed King of the Dancehall, Beenie Man, is all ready to go for 'The Greatest Reggae Show On Earth', Reggae Sumfest.
Beenie Man is expected to perform tonight at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay. His highly anticipated performance will close the night.
According to him, patrons should come prepared to be entertained and impressed.
"Expect the unexpected! As usual, we aim to please the fans. Sumfest is one of the largest reggae shows in the world so we always put wi best foot forward. You either go hard or go home, and me nah go home!" he said.
The artiste recently struck a deal with beer giants, Red Stripe, through the brand's new variant Red Stripe Light Flavours. Beenie did an advertisement for the beer and has remixed his song The Summer Is Here to include Red Stripe.
Surprise in store
He divulged that his set would also comprise a Red Stripe element but didn't want to go into detail.
"Bwoy, me nuh want let out the ting but my set nah go normal none at all! Wi partying this year - that's all I have to say! Oh yea, I wouldn't advise anyone to miss it, that's not smart," he added.
"I feel great about this partnership and happy to have Red Stripe back on board supporting dancehall. It's summertime and nothing beats the heat like a cold beer," he said.
When asked about Red Stripe's connection with Jamaica 50 and the creation of three new flavours in time for the celebration, Beenie said he loves the support that Jamaica 50 is getting from corporate Jamaica.
Reggae Sumfest begins tonight and runs through until Saturday.
