Summa Satdaz targets bar experience

Stacy-Ann Hazel is gearing up to host her free-admission weekly event Summa Satdaz, which has already started and is expected to be held every Saturday up to September. The party will be hosted at the Almond Tree Sports Bar and Lounge on Red Hills Road, St Andrew, and Hazel is confident that the experience will be out of the ordinary.

"I wanted this event to be big and unique. People always want something different, and the concept behind this event is to give a new experience. We accept credit and debit cards. How many events can people go and don't bring cash? Not many, so already we are setting a trend," Hazel said.

Summa Satdaz will have a different theme each week, so patrons experience a variety of décor and dress codes. Purple Night is one theme which is especially significant to Hazel.

"Purple is my favourite colour and so I decided to make last week's staging represent that theme. It was very successful, and this week will be no different. Tomorrow's theme will be 'Sneakers and Snap Back Caps', so just expect the unexpected," she said.

As the event is hosted at a bar, Hazel advises that persons hoping to share in the Summer Satdaz experience must be 18 years old and over. "There will be drink specials on premium beverages such as Remy Martin, Courvoisier, and Hennessy. Patrons can come out for this because this deal will not be found at any other event elsewhere," Hazel said.

For those who believe that all bar experiences are the same, Hazel said that the Almond Tree Bar and Lounge is not the typical bar setting. She describes the venue as a comfortable, safe haven for clean partying. "We at Almond Tree Sports Bar pride ourselves on being the best bar in entertainment, because we offer our patrons the best customer service, the best deals, the best events and the most comfortable and refreshing environment to relax and be entertained. It's like a safe haven. Patrons can even pay their bills at the venue. So when you talk about unusual, you talk about us," Hazel said.

The DJs who will be featured at Summa Satdaz are DJ Bunco Hill Top and Chromatic sound. Partygoers will have access to the venue from as early as 10 a.m. until midnight for each staging of the party.

"Patrons should also know that we have more events on the calendar, because after the summer we still want to be active in the entertainment circle. Right now, we have Sexy Monday, Liquor Special Tuesdays, Crayfish Wednesdays, Free Finger Food Friday, and Games Day Sundays," Hazel said.
