Well, good so far. People need to understand that they are elected by the people, and no party can force them to resign if they don't want to.

What an insult! Isn't he still in jail? Thus if he never gets bail, can his 'leave of absence' really be voluntary? Even if he does get bail, why should he continue to collect taxpayers' money, while he has a cloud hanging over his head?
