Partygoers in Negril celebrated Independence Day in fine style when the ultra-chic Smirnoff Xclusive Dream Weekend event took centre stage at the Boardwalk Village.

Dubbed the 'Celebrity Playground', the entertainment event lived up to the hype of being one of the premier events of the six-day party series that donned a red and white theme and decor that patrons happily obeyed.

It is not hard to see why each year the event continues to grow. Special emphasis on venue décor, set-up, food and a luxurious atmosphere that encourages partying have always been a feature of the event.

Though the party got off to a late start due to technical difficulties, the shortcomings were instantly forgotten as soon as 3rd Dimension disc jockeys began their set.

The event's new home at Boardwalk Village was a welcome change in terms of space to accommodate the growing number of patrons who continue to flock the event each year. Margaritaville hosted the event in 2011.

Partying responsibly under the influence of the new Smirnoff flavoured vodkas, DJ Nicco infused an interesting blend of hip hop, house music and dancehall, which was good enough to keep patrons interested long enough to hear Jazzy T play.

Locals are not the only ones who seem to love this event. Several persons from Canada, Africa, the United States of America and England journeyed to Jamaica to experience the Smirnoff Xclusive vibe.

At $4,500 for general admission and $6,000 for VIP, the all-inclusive event boasted appetising finger foods and an opportunity to try out the flavoured vodkas that made the party experience even more exciting.

Aqua Essentials ladies did a great job at keeping persons hydrated after hours of dancing.
