Good Times pushed back after Isaac rains
The Heineken Good Times: House Paarty, scheduled for Saturday, August 25, has been shifted to Saturday, September 1, at 9 p.m.
The shift in the date came as a result of the heavy rains dumped on the island as Tropical Storm Isaac passed north of Jamaica on the weekend.
Despite the new date, the Quorum promoters advise that all presold tickets purchased for Saturday, August 25 are still valid.
Organisers regret the inconvenience patrons may have encountered. However, the events which led to the party being rescheduled were out of their control. Jerome Hamilton of the Quorum is confident the next staging will be an enjoyable experience.
"The party got rained out, but that can't rain on our parade!" he said.
The New Mas Camp in Kingston will be transformed to the colourful times of the past to facilitate this 'House Paarty' edition. Patrons will witness the return of the retro game room and welcome persons to revive old passions for games like 'Donkey Kong', 'Space Invaders' and more.
Live performances will also enhance the great party vibe.
Part proceeds from the event go towards the children's ward at the Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Centre (formerly the Mona Rehabilitation Centre).
The Quorum has been instrumental in keeping the history of Jamaica's music alive through each staging. This vibrant party has been staged from as early as March 1996 and allows supporters to be submerged in a fun-filled night of music and dancing.
