Mars to Earth: Do you read me?
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I am from outer space (obviously) and, therefore, take this medium to request the inhabitants of this particular part of Mother Earth to explain the following:
1. Why is there a constant debate over why Singapore's development has been faster than ours? Is it not obvious that they have developed their human capital and we have not?
2. What is the connection between pork barrel politics, salt fish elections and criminal violence?
3. Is there such a concept as a 'virtual plantation', and have the voters of East Rural St Andrew never heard Bob Marley's Redemption Song?
One last question:
4. How is it that Damion Crawford can see the reality of our folly? Is he a genius, or is he a visitor from outer space, too?
