Playtime at Chukka
Chukka has changed its brand and no longer goes by the name Chukka Caribbean Adventures.
"Short, concise, relevant and fun. We are CHUKKA," says Danny Melville, the man who founded the soft adventure Jamaican attraction 30 years ago.
Melville, his three sons, Alexandra, Marc and Daniel Jr, and partner John and Paola Byles have since taken the play to other Caribbean territories such as Turks and Caicos and Belize.
Boasting a new logo and tag line that reads, 'It's Time To Play', Melville says when guests come to CHUKKA, "we want them to know it's time to have fun".
True to form, the CHUKKA team hosted international and local partners, including Travelocity, Travel Impressions, US Airways, Sunwing, Mark Travel Corporation, Expedia and Funjet at a pre-Japex Polo and Cocktails last Saturday at their polo club in St Ann and had fun.
Putting up team Good Hope, one of its new attractions, against Chukka Jaguar Paw, the adventurous group played a friendly match which saw Good Hope advancing as winners.
And although the CHUKKA Passport was not necessary to enter the St Ann grounds last Saturday, Marsha Sterling, group marketing manager, says those access will receive loyalty points.
Another addition to the brand is the CHUKKA Cat, "A Catamaran that should be operational in a few months," says Sterling.
CHUKKA has not stopped there. The company is also launching new projects in Belize and Turks.
Showcasing the many offerings last Saturday, CHUKKA sought and received sponsorship from Scotchies and Appleton.
Outlook was there, enjoying every moment!
