Thiiah's Juices & Organic Foods will celebrate its one-year anniversary in November, the same month it makes its debut in the Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week, with a vegetarian dish sure to fill you up.

The Mongolian vegetarian steak is a top seller at Thiiah's, and for Restaurant Week, owner Althea McPherson expects no different.

"It's quite flavourful and healthy," said McPherson, who described the dish as a combination of grains, seeds and millets, seasoned with herbs and spices.

"They really enjoy that it's naturally made, with no preservatives," said McPherson, adding that the dish is also "baked to perfection". It is topped with the signature herbed papaya sauce, which includes caramelised onions, sweet peppers and papaya. The steak is served with creamed potatoes.

The dish is in line with Thiiah's Juices & Organic Foods' health-food theme as it offers fresh health juices along with its vegetarian and fish dishes.

As part of the Nyam and Scram category, Thiiah's is offering healthy options you can have on the go. It offers fresh juices such as a combination of cane, pineapple and lime juice. For their green juice, which is rich in anti-oxidants, customers can select the green vegetables they would like in their drink.

Located on Belmont Road in New Kingston, Thiiah's is a welcoming eating and health product shopping experience. Various dining options are available whether customers choose outside, at the juice bar, or inside a secluded dining room.
