Isabella's at The Cardiff Hotel in Runaway Bay, St Ann, joins Restaurant Week for the first time this year. According to executive chef Dennis McIntosh, the event will help publicise the high-quality food being offered at the restaurant.

"The cuisine at Isabella's is contemporary Jamaican cuisine. That is to say, we take what is the recognised Jamaican taste profiles, we utilise seasonal Jamaican ingredients and really create memorable dishes," McIntosh told Food.

"Not a lot of people know too much about us, but we're quickly becoming known for the quality of our food and the quality of service we offer. Customers will be treated to some very exciting cuisine," he added.

The fantastic view from the Cardiff hills complements the mouth-watering cuisine at Isabella's, which is featured in the Savoury category for Restaurant Week.

It will offer a range of dishes that includes soups, main courses of beef, fish, chicken, pork, and seafood, along with a tasty selection of desserts, courtesy of pastry chef Lincoln Peterkin, who has represented Jamaica in the Taste of the Caribbean culinary fest in Miami.

"Restaurant Week speaks to the fact that a lot of people who would not normally make the journey out here will come because we're featured in this week of food activities. And once they've come and dine with us, our hope is that they will return again and again and tell their friends about the experience here," said McIntosh.

The restaurant's name was changed last year when the Runaway Bay Heart Hotel was rebranded The Cardiff Hotel.
