Taking diners on a delectable journey
Perhaps one of the preferred hotels in Kingston, The Jamaica Pegasus is more than just accommodation. And with its recent change in ownership and a talented set of culinary experts, the hotel is set on taking diners on a delectable journey.
For this reason, executive chef Mark Cole stressed how ready and excited the hotel and its staff are for the start of the Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week.
With emphasis being placed on taste and presentation, Cole noted that diners will be exposed to a wonderful experience.
"Jamaica Pegasus is embarking on a new way of presentation in terms of local and international dishes. We have celebrated chefs here who have received numerous medals, so you know diners will be having a great time."
Getting ideas from its existing menu, the dishes that will be available during Restaurant Week are modified versions of favourites. And these dishes are expected to go down well with the public.
One dish that is anticipated to be the star of the menu is the tamarind barbecue lamb.
"We do have lamb on the menu, but during Restaurant Week, it will give us a chance to show how versatile we can be in terms of serving lamb".
A favourite already for many, the lamb is definitely a best-seller.
