Cherine released her supersexy new video Haffi Come Back last night, and the reggae soul singer says her fans will see a whole new sexier side to her.

The video was released worldwide on cherinetv.com, which allowed viewers to see it on smart phones and online at 9 last night.

The video will also make the entertainment television programme rounds. Already shown on 'Entertainment Report' and 'DWrap' last night, it will be shown on 'OnStage' tonight and on 'Intense' next week.

Haffi Come Back is produced by Andru Blaxx of U.I.M. Records and is featured on the Coolie Gyal rhythm. The song has been a favourite on many DJ playlists and has been receiving good airplay on all local radio stations since its release earlier this year.

It has garnered support overseas and has entered the NMT Top 10 Countdown in Atlanta. It has also been syndicated in Gambia and Kenya.

The video, produced by Natanell Francis for Dancehall Soul Production, was shot in the March Pen Road area of Spanish Town and was directed by Cherine, assisted by directors of photo-graphy Ezra Tomlinson and Gareth Cobran.

Sporting a fierce new look, Cherine says the video will bring a different kind of sexy to reggae and dancehall.

"The shoot was amazing! We decided to push the limit. It's a very sexy video. It's about bringing in female fans, and after doing Rebel, I realised that a lot of people gravitated to the uptempo music that kind of makes them free and forget about their problems," she said.

queen of reinvention

"Haffi Come Back was naturally the next step because fans dictated that that was the song they liked. The song is all dancing and it showcases me in a new light," said Cherine.

Special features in the video include choreography that is rarely seen in dancehall videos, she says.

"I haven't seen a dancehall video to date that has structured choreography. This features some of Jamaica's best dancers, and I am right there with them having fun, and I think people are really going to love this. The feedback from behind the scenes alone says people are going to love this: men calling and asking about the dance moves and women saying they can't wait to see the rest of the choreography or what you're going to wear. Like I tell people, it's Cherine. Miss Anderson retire now, so straight rebel."

Fans will also get to experience Cherine's hot new hair which, she says, was inspired by her fans.

"Call me the queen of reinvention. If I see something for too long, I get bored and I don't want to see it. I am listening to my fans. As a young woman, you don't walk around wearing the same pair of shoes every day if you can afford another pair of shoes. We like to look pretty and we like to feel good when we dress up," she said.
