Western business leaders honoured
The Hilton Rose Hall Hotel in Montego Bay was a picture of pure elegance as the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently held its annual awards banquet, 'A Ruby Jubilee Celebration', to honour leading members of the business community in western Jamaica.
An evening of fun and relaxation, pioneering firms and young entrepreneurs alike mingled before sharing the joy with those recognised for sterling contribution to the sector and the region.
The awardees recognised for sustained and visionary contribution to Montego Bay were the University of the West Indies Western Jamaica Campus for education; Vista Print Jamaica limited (Ltd) in the corporate category; Chukka Caribbean Adventures Ltd for tourism; Fontana Pharmacy in small/medium enterprises (SME); MBJ Airports Ltd for business development; while the Hart Group of Companies received the Jamaica 50 award for its contribution to the region over the past half a century.
Some of those in attendance were Mark and Paula Kerr-Jarrett, Mark and Candace Hart, Adam and Jill Stewart, Sharon Ffolkes-Abrahams, Lloyd B. Smith, Glendon Harris, Yoni Epstein, Leroy Reid, Godfrey and Odette Dyer, Michele English, Jason Carrigan, Michelle Rollins and Kelly Tomblin.
