BELMOPAN, CMC:
Six men, including four Belizean police officers, have been freed of drug-related charges after a Colombian plane laden with two tons of cocaine landed on a major highway in southern Belize two years ago.
Although the six men were freed of the drug charges, they remained in police custody charged with the possession of illegal ammunition, which was found in a van that was intercepted in the area where the incident happened.
