Kampai to exotic libations

With the Bacchanal season almost at a close, all roads lead to the north coast destination of Ocho Rios this weekend. What better way to indulge in exotic libations than during a wonderful stay along Jamaica's coastal waters? On Sunday, Appleton Estate and Absolut Vodka will be serving up Asian inspired drinks at Kampai (a toast to your health or Cheers), a Japanese inspired premium all-inclusive event at the Dunn's River Falls Park in Ocho Rios.

Our friends over at J. Wray & Nephew gave us a sneak peek of what patrons can expect at this event as well as how they can prepare these easy recipes in the comfort of their own homes.

Appleton Kampai

3/4 oz Appleton V/X

1/4 oz Amaretto

A Splash of Lime Juice

Mix well and serve

Absolut Kamikazi

3/4 oz Absolut

1/4 oz Triple Sec

A Splash of Lime Juice

Mix well and serve

Appleton Tiger Lily

Ingredients:

2 oz Appleton V/X

2 1/2 oz Orange Juice

1/2 oz Triple Sec

1/2 oz Simple Syrup

1/4 oz Triple Sec

Method:

Combine all ingredients, stir, pour over ice and enjoy.

Absolut Orient Apple Breeze

Ingredients

1.2 parts Absolut Orient apple

2. 2 parts White Cranberry Juice

3. 1 dash Pink Ting Pink Grapefruit Juice

4. 1 wedge grapefruit

Method:

Fill a highball glass with ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Garnish with grapefruit.

Absolut Dragon Pearl

2 parts Absolut Orient apple

1/2 part simple syrup

1 part soda water

2-3 lemon wedges

4-5 mint sprigs

Muddle simple syrup, lemon wedges and mint in a rocks glass. Add Absolut Orient Apple and ice. Top with soda water and stir.
