The first telecoms company to launch the BlackBerry Z10 in Jamaica, LIME was eager to provide customers with the highly anticipated and much-talked-about BlackBerry device.
So eager, that they threw an official launch party on April 18, a few days before the phones made their way into stores on April 23.
Held at the NCB Towers in New Kingston, the event saw a mix of those from the corporate world, government officials and phone enthusiasts, all with one agenda. What's that? To get a first-hand view of the smartphone which is poised to be, according to some industry officials, a major competition to Android phones.
Upon entry, guests were directed to the main area which served as the mingling zone, where they were greeted with a Z10 signature cocktail.
Food stations and bars served as frames for the location as guests enjoyed the refreshments and mingled.
Then it was time for the big moment of the night as guests were instructed to take a seat to witness the formal unveiling.
Hosted by Kamila McDonald, and with presentations from LIME representatives and visiting BlackBerry officials, guests were properly 'schooled' on some of the exciting features of the device.
And according to LIME's Chairman Chris Dehring, the phone will certainly give customers value for money.
To add to the excitement, two lucky persons won a raffle, walking away with a new BlackBerry Z10.
