Fashion reigned supreme last weekend as StyleWeek Jamaica captured Kingston's nightlife for its ninth staging.

With a slight rollback to previous years (we are, after all, still in a recession), Saint International still managed to showcase a stellar line-up of local designers. Hollywood actor of Dexter fame, Brando Eaton, was also in the fray as he was hosted as a specially invited guest for the social attraction.

Starting off with their newest innovation, 'Supermodel City Lockdown' on Friday, three of Kingston's hottest night spots - South Beach Café, Mahogany Tree Bar and Fiction - were used as on-schedule show venues, featuring nine designers, and patrons party-hopped to take in the sights.

Saturday saw the renaissance of the waterfront downtown for the all-white themed Mecca CityStyle - a fusion of International Mecca of Style and CityStyle. The event featured 12 designer collections, including the Caribbean debut of celebrity designer Cezar Galindo.

The weekend climaxed on Sunday when Knutsford Boulevard was transformed into glamour central for Fashionblock as the cadre of Saint International models showcased designer pieces from the record number of designers that showcased this year.
