Tensing Pen Jamaica Resort is a small, intimate resort on the West End in Negril. Directly located on the Caribbean Sea, it provides a view unlike any other that can be found on our fair shores.
The resort is nestled on a private cove surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and flowers.
Their website boasts that it is a "beautiful Jamaican resort created to provide a secluded getaway in Jamaica, and has evolved into a unique destination Jamaican resort with a collection of wood, thatch and cut-stone cottages of varying sizes and increasing luxuries for the perfect relaxing vacation on the coast of Jamaica in the Caribbean Sea."
With a maximum capacity to accomodate 43 persons, the resort consists of a wide variety of cottages and suites. It has 13 double-occupancy rooms and four houses that can accommodate two to six persons.
There are no televisions in the rooms, offering a truly relaxing experience. Rooms are cooled by ceiling fans and lovely ocean breeze.
Telephone and Wi-Fi are the only luxury amenities creating a totally relaxing atmosphere.
In addition to several cut-stone decks around the resort, Tensing Pen Jamaica Resort also has the SeaSong Hut - a thatched roof cabin-like structure overlooking the rocky terrain that jets out into the Caribbean Sea. The hut is available for weddings, parties, meetings, and yoga or exercise.
Breakfast is included; and the chef prepares Jamaican-style feasts using the finest ingredients and organic vegetables fresh from local farmers. The menu changes daily, depending on seasonal ingredients. From local grilled lobster, sweet curried Black River shrimp, fresh caught fish to traditional, jerked chicken are standard fare at the resort.
For adrenaline junkies, there is lots to do at Tensing Pen. They have a wide range of activites for guests in search of an adventure ranging from parasailing or exploring the the Caribbean sea via snorkelling, scuba diving, to the swimming automobile, bicycle or scooter. A trained masseuse therapist is also on hand for extra attention.
And according to property manager, Evelyn Smith, the cosy honeymoon suites overlooking the crystal-clear Caribbean waters are their most in-demand accomodations.

The twin day beds on the pool deck are great for lounging in the sun and enjoying a spectacular view.
A big part of the Tensing Pen culture is the Jamaican art works that are on display throughout the property. Here is a working lamp made from coconut by a local artist.
