How will the impending increase in the Highway 2000 toll rates affect you?

Old Harbour mi sey, from Saturday - plus, every car I drive uses less gas when I drive through Old Harbour.

The cost of purchasing items/products/services/ goods transported from Kingston to Mandeville will definitely increase. So, in that regard, I will definitely see an increase for such goods and services. Companies will transfer the prices on to the consumers, if they utilise or traverse this route - Highway 2000 - to Mandeville.

It's a big blow for me - 15% increase when the earnings have not increased? The Mandela route (three times longer for me) only means more gas and time to get to where I usually go; which is why I continued to use the toll road knowing another increase was inevitable. It is almost certain if we all don't use the toll road they would have to lower the prices. It would be interesting to note the number of trips before and after the increases. My continued use of the toll road is actually hurting my pocket after all.

Won't affect me because I'm not driving on it!
