The OUR has granted the JPS a two per cent rate increase. What's your view?

The OUR obviously does not have the interest of the Jamaican people at heart. How much more do we have to take OUR? At what point will you begin to protect our interests?

If you ask me, the Government benefits one way or the other, so the OUR is just a cover for whatever wrong is being done to us poor, innocent souls.

The concern is not so much that they got the increase but the conditions under which it was granted.

If the Government had our interests in mind, they would be finding solutions to reduce energy costs and working with the JPS to get alternative sources of energy initiated. The OUR is a government entity; there is no transparency about how they come to these decisions, but we continue to be taken for fools.

The JPS needs to go easy! They are already guaranteed a profit by the Jamaican government, what more do they want?
