WESTERN BUREAU:Three parties, one venue, one night, one fabulous city - Montego Bay! On Wednesday, June 26, Montegonians turned out in their numbers to welcome Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) to the friendly city at their new home, Fairview Shopping Complex.

Next door to SSL, the Montego Bay-based Tai Flora unveiled its Luxe brand, joining the second anniversary celebration of Katrin and Patrick Casserly's Schatzie.

Stocks and Securities specialises in wealth management, Tai Flora in decor, parties, weddings, you name it, while Schatzie is the place to go for authentic Jamaican fashion this side of the island.

Schatzie is now carrying Nicole Seaga's Bleum resort wear, complementing the 100 per cent Wright Style handkerchief linen in various weights and dyed cotton voile that customers have embraced.

Owing to the fact that their clothes are produced locally, Pat Wright, the designer, and Katrin Casserly, the marketer, continue to bring in fresh and new styles every other month.

Tai Flora was showcasing international contemporary pieces, from the lights hanging from the ceiling to the gigantic lit signs on the walls - almost a look of South Beach mixed with the diversity that the Caribbean has to offer.

Using a lot of glass, it was all about very clean lines and modern pieces, the husband and wife team, Sascha and Paulette Hossman, have literally transformed what was an empty shell into one of the most beautiful places, now called the 'New Montego Bay'.

Obviously now a city that Kingstonians have rediscovered, it is not surprising that SSL has joined others who have found favour here. Founded in 1973, SSL is the second-oldest brokerage firm in Jamaica, boasting a team of more than 50 professionals, led by a father-and-son team, Hugh and Mark Croskery.

The full-service, wealth-management, investment and advisory firm was quick to point out, "This is a soft opening, we will be doing something much bigger".

Well, if Outlook is to go by the party, that was a big soirée - three in one!

Executive chef Ravi Anne kept the taste buds alive, while Select Wines had the libation in order with Vodka, Smatt's Rums mixed with Orijin orange juice and ginger beer (stormy pineapple) was a must drink. And Caribbean Producers Jamaica's Rosemont Savignon Blanc and Pinot Noir hit the right spot.
