WESTERN BUREAU:

The colours of the rainbow are everywhere. From the cottages reminiscent of gingerbread homes illustrated in fairytale books, to the restaurant, spa and even the gift shop - this is what greets guests upon entering the Grand Pineapple Beach Resort.

According to General Manager Alexander Pike, the colour scheme is aimed at helping to promote the happiness of its guests.

Formerly known as Negril Gardens, the small 65-room all-inclusive hotel is located on the legendary Negril beach and caters to singles, couples and families.

A part of the Sandals chain of hotels, it is one of few all-inclusive hotels in Jamaica that accommodates walk-in guests. This means no prior reservation is needed in order to guarantee your stay there, as long as rooms are available.

The Grand Pineapple is ideal for honeymooners and persons who want a quiet, cosy spot to relax and de-stress. The resort is laid out on four acres of impressively manicured lawns and expertly tended foliage, with various species of mature trees providing an abundance of shaded areas.

It consists of two blocks, a set of rooms on the beach, and another on the garden side which is separated by the Norman Manley Boulevard.

The spa boutique offers daily specials to help guests unwind. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., there is a pleasant and hospitable staff to cater to your needs, whether it be manicure, pedicure, massage, reflexology or facials.

The property's lone restaurant, the Orchid Terrace, is an open-air pavilion, located just footsteps shy of the beach, offering a lovely view of the beautiful Caribbean Sea. It features local and international cuisine served buffet style, and its chefs, once informed, are able to cater to the special dietary needs of guests.

The Sunset Beach bar located nearby also
serves up afternoon snacks and drinks from 10 a.m. to midnight. Three
nights each week, the bar has live music provided by the local Foxtrot
band.

They have beach volleyball, lawn chess, table
tennis and board games, and a pool to keep entertained, as well as a
number of non-motorised watersports such as kayaking, stand up paddle
boards, hobie cat and sunfish sailing.

The laid-back
charm of the resort and the services keep its guests coming back. They
have a large number of repeat guests who are impressed with all the
Grand Pineapple has to offer.
