A melting pot of cultural experiences at South Beach Saturday

WESTERN BUREAU:Wetting their feet on new grounds, Irie Latino and PVS Entertainment took their South Beach Saturday to the popular Seawind Beach Club in Montego Freeport last Saturday night.
The event, which has stamped its claim as a must-attend, particularly for the people who party the most in western Jamaica, attracted a full house of revellers, many seemingly hungry from an Independence weekend of sheer pleasure.
Featuring its signature Miami-style mix of latin, international and electronic dance music, this was the 'uptown' spot to be seen in the Second City last weekend.
With an average of over 350 in attendance, South Beach Saturday was balanced by a mix of Jamaicans, Latinos, a large contingent from the Indian community, and several expatriates who call Jamaica home.
This edition had a menu of Latin American food which included croquetas de bacalao, croquetas de pollo, tacos norteños and montaditos, complemented by the famous backdrop beach club pool lit by multicoloured lights, and the Caribbean Sea.
A dramatic entrance, lined with tiki torches and coloured lights, substituted as hosts to welcome the team to the established monthly event.
