With school beginning officially for many students today, what are your views on auxiliary fees, charged at secondary schools?

The minister needs to speak clearly and quit his political double speak. He said ancillary fees are not optional but, no child will be refused entry because of non-payment!

Unfortunately, it is still very important to consider [the] US response. It would be disastrous for us to be characterised as a "rogue state".

[It's] difficult to know which parents just refuse to prioritise, from those who can't pay. Some find the money based on the school.

Auxiliary fees are to be paid. The schools just need to have payment options. Persons need to grow up and stop expecting their child's schooling to be free; the schools have expenses too!

With the recent increase of taxi fare and the [salaries] not increasing, I think who can afford to pay it [should] pay it.
