Talk about standing tall! No level of height was going to stop Sandals Resorts International's Wayne Cummings (centre) who was flanked by Jaguar beauties Leightonette Thomas (left) and Ashley Downer.

WESTERN BUREAU:

The bold, dynamic, revolutionary invitation inveigled guests to experience another level of automotive design as they direct their journey for a lifetime! And the invitation did not lie.

It was the powerful, sleek, muscular Jaguar with ripples all over its body, that ATL Automotive unveiled, at its Jaguar and Land Rover Showcase at Villa Rio Chico in Ocho Rios last Saturday night.

Great food and luxury vehicles go hand in hand, particularly if the company is one of the most progressive in the country. It was Adam Stewart behind this classy affair, and the newest member of the Appliance Traders Limited (ATL) family, Ian Lyn.

The 3-litre supercharged V6 engine, F-type Jaguar, the only one to make its way into the Caribbean so far, was one of the last cars to be presented to the discerning audience that waited with bated breath to witness the luxury convertible sports car which was camouflaged from head to toe.

"With 340 horse power going from zero to 100 kilometres in 5.12 seconds, this car is a game changer," stated Adam Stewart, deputy chairman and CEO of ATL.

But the Jaguar, as sexy as he was, faced some stiff competition from the Land Rover Discover 4, the Freelander 2, the Range Rover, Range Rover Evogue, and the Range Rover Sport.

Renowned as the King of the Hill, and by far the best 4 x 4, the Land Rover Discovery stood out among the crew, proving it was truly luxury redefined.
