Dears, Liquor and the promise of a goodtime are no longer the prerequisite for those who like to party and are leading the party revolution. Today, it's all about the hipsters and the chic; the fashionistas and the fashionable and the party-hungry, who troll the city in search of the city's most happening spots and parties!

In this respect, my dears, the party crowd is indeed quite fickle, moving from one hotspot to the next, as soon as the next has been identified and suitably endorsed by those who set or help to discern emerging trends!

Well, my dears, in keeping with the new demand, a number of new and exciting places have been opening up their doors across the fair city of Kingston. But what is becoming clearer and clearer is the fact that the jewel in the Pulse real estate portfolio, known as Villa Ronai, is fast emerging as the city's new entertainment Mecca.

Luvs, with one of the city's finest restaurant - Majestic Japanese - the preferred dining spot for many across the city; and with the already buzzing Villa Ronai slated to embrace and open to the partying public a whole new lifestyle complex later this year, yet another fabulous entertainment offering was added to Villa Ronai two Tuesdays ago. And it was rolled out in what was in essence a red-carpet gala opening.

Everblazing

It is Kingston's latest and finest night spot and boutique dubbed - Everblazing!!

Dears, we are talking the ultimate in chicdom here, as Everblazing is one very fab contempo marriage of a haute fabulissimo uber-boutique by day, showcasing some of the latest and fabbest in designer-wear for women. Come evening, the place is transformed into a simply gorgeous boutique of a bar - done up to reflect the establishment's owner Italian roots, with frescos and walls covered in wallpaper that boasts the busts of several Roman emperors, adding to the inviting and impressive decor!

And make no bones about Everblazing, it is indeed impressively fab. And as if the word were out, its VIP uber-room hosted an impressive list of dignitaries, party animals, bar and club-crawlers, the fashionable and fashionistas, who braved torrential rains, earlier that afternoon, for the official opening.

And hot it was my dears. As it did rain torrents earlier that evening and afternoon, but for the opening, it rained beauties and hunks and nothing but!

Luvs, the owner, Milica Pasic, clearly designed a place of leisure for those with that critical eye and that discriminating sense of uber taste.

Everblazing was dripping attitude and rolling in celebrity cachet like a Hollywood starlet at her own debut. And pumpkins, it gave the opening all the social oomph and razzmatazz, high-glam and haute style, for the marquee event that the occasion was!

Mind you, it was not all glitz and glam, as indeed, overwhelmed by the rush and crush of bodies for the opening, getting one's favourite libations proved more than a challenge. In fact, this exercise was more akin to an obstacle course. But luvs, in the glare of the flashbulbs of the paparazzi, the beauty and style all around, one could and did forgive the attendants their sins. Sins aside, however, it was one heck of a night and fabulously so, heralding Kingston's latest haute-fabulissimo offering, and for my word, was it well reserved!

Among those spotted for the gala opening included: Tourism Minister Dr Wykeham McNeill and his son, Jordan; Appeal Court Justice Hilary Phillips; Justice Ingrid Mangatal; the dapper Kingsley Cooper; international sprinting superstar Asafa Powell and his publicist, Tara Playfair-Scott; EU Diplomat Alex Dropinski; Lois Sherwood; Guerney and Mavis Beckford; Rae and Sharon Barrett; Gary Matalon and Luke Flynn.

Also out were: model and actress Sky Nicole Grey; DJ Archie; the fab Marilyn Bennett; Robert Haughton; the lovely Dollis Campbell; the charming Millicent Lynch; the simply lovely Nurma James; 'man-about-town' Steve Urchin; the fab-looking Safia Cooper; the purring Patrice Wilson-McHugh; the lovely Marsha Wilson-Maxwell, and the stunning Jessica Taylor.

We spotted Miguel Bernard and companion Nicky Channer; designer Victoria Brown and gal pal Charmaine Malcolm were both buzzing; Kishauna Henry had heads in a tizzy in her wake as she strutted in one of the evening's most original ensembles; but oh, what a night!

Not to put a clichéd feel to it, but dears, the opening was well and truly blazing and dripping fabulousness like every high-fashion boutique and lounge should!
