After the successful debut of its exclusive supper club in June, Jamaica's leading culinary events company, Savour Jamaica, has announced two exciting events set to take place in Kingston and Ocho Rios featuring celebrated TV chef, Brad Turner.

Savour Jamaica's Due South will take place on Friday, October 25, on the stunning rooftop of the University of Technology's School of Hospitality and Tourism headquarters in Kingston, and on Saturday, October 26, at one of the country's most cherished hotels, the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios.

A native of New Orleans, Turner, aka The Grill Sergeant, shot to stardom after his popular TV show The Grill Sergeant. He gained further notoriety following a successful 'Throwdown' with Bobby Flay. A regular cooking within the environs of the Pentagon in Washington, DC, Turner is often seen on the American television show, Fox and Friends.

Now with his sights set on Jamaica, Turner is very excited about his Jamaican debut. "I am born, bred, and buttered from New Orleans, and my love for people and my passion for food is unfathomable. Jamaica has given so much to the world and I am delighted to come here to give a little of my traditional New Orleans cuisine back. I have a little saying 'share the love and share the food'; and before you leave you will know why in New Orleans, 'we don't eat to live ... we live to eat!'"

Featuring a unique fine-dining six-course banquet, Due South will boast classical Southern dishes served with great finesse. With Jamaican produce showcased throughout, the evening will give patrons the opportunity to experience familiar foods through a different lens.

The evening will begin with a cocktail reception that includes a bespoke cocktail created especially for the event and a selection of delicious hors d'oeuvres.

Savour Jamaica's April Jackson is equally excited about her sophomore event. "We were thrilled with the response to our first event, The Rising Sun, and delighted with the positive feedback we have received since. With these latest events, we'll be creating a whole new experience - two new cities, new theme and décor, and the gastronomic journey we will provide for our guests," she said.

She notes that selecting the right venue was very important. "We've selected these two locations for very unique reasons. UTech not only boasts a beautifully unusual rooftop setting, but it also provides us with the chance to contribute to the local culinary scene, while Jamaica Inn is one of the most treasured hotels in the country with a history steeped in fine dining and will offer a stunning panorama of the Caribbean Sea to our guests."

Savour Jamaica has partnered with CB Chicken, J Wray & Nephew, Appleton, and Rainforest Seafoods.
