Ready to spice things up
Newcomers to the Restaurant Week line-up, Grosvenor Café, are excited about showing potential customers what they have to offer. According to owner Zachary Reid, "An art gallery has been here, and we ideally wanted individuals who were visiting to have somewhere to go and get a drink or a quick bite. I think the café fits in well here," notes Reid. "As a new business, I thought it would be good to get the publicity, get our name out there, and show potential customers what we have to offer."
The cosy café provides an escape from the day-to-day hustle. Capitalising on its surrounding natural resources, the café also functions as a tree house, with a tree bark in the middle of the seats.
This café hopes to spice things up for Restaurant Week in a two-in-one meal deal, "For Restaurant Week, all sandwiches come with a serving of salad on the side, while every salad comes with a serving of soup. The menu comprises healthier meal options, which individuals cannot get in the Manor Park area. So we are happy to create a nice little chill spot for the area," revealed Reid.
Reid, who put aside his ownership belt for his chef's hat, presented Food with two of the deals - chicken breast panini with a cáprese salad and a Greek salad, with a créme pumpkin soup. "What makes this greek salad different is the fact that lettuce isn't the main ingredient. The tomatoes, cucumber, sweet peppers, black olives and feta cheese all lay on a bed of lettuce and it is refrigerated overnight so that the salad can attract all the dressing," notes Reid.
Grosvenor Café is definitely ready to rise to the occasion and take on this year's Restaurant Week.
