June Plum Restaurant, located on the hill at Mystic Ridge, Ocho Rios, had a successful first year in Restaurant Week last year and returns expecting another wonderful year.

June Plum has a very pleasant atmosphere and food that pleases the palate.

"Patrons can look forward to the best food, using the best ingredients, coming from the best kitchen in Ocho Rios," boasted June Plum's head chef, Christopher Evans.

"Restaurant Week is going to be a bomb. Make your reservations early. We're ready and waiting," he added.

The chef's special is lobster thermidor, which is lobster marinated with a jerk flavour, cooked, and added to the oven with cream cheese and mozzarella to top it off.

"The taste is very good," Evans assured.

According to the chef, chicken cordon bleu is also considered a chef's special on the Restaurant Week menu this year. He recommends it for those who prefer chicken to seafood.

With this being his first year participating in Restaurant Week, Evans is keen to show off his culinary skills and is hoping for a good turnout at June Plum.

"We are hoping for patrons to come out and sample our dishes," he said. "We know we're going to be up in the number-one spot after everything because we know our dishes. We cook with the best ingredients and we have some good cooks up here," Evans added.
