New theme for Chukka Good Hope

Chukka Good Hope has added a new theme concept which should greatly expand its reach to the local public.
This new theme-park concept could be a great pull to the mammoth end-of-school-term activities nationally, with excursions being among the most popular. At a soft launch of the attraction on Sunday, November 24, Executive Director John Byles said, "We have transferred the individual tour operations to a park environment in which you can enjoy a little of everything at a flat rate."
He added that other amenities have been added, one of which is the challenge course, to include the zip and slide. Another is the aviary, in which part of the slave hospital has been transformed into a bird sanctuary. A large and a small pool have also been added.
Byles stressed that safety to international standards is not compromised, as there are the required lifeguards at the pools, along with persons monitoring the attractions and patrons.
Not only are there attractions, the executive director said, there are 17 real old structures dating back over 250 years which have been restored. He said these were sensitively restored to be either part of the amenities or the adventure tours. At a highly competitive value of the equivalent of US$20, children can access the theme park. Additional things, including meals, can be purchased.
In attendance were Arnold and Claire Bertram, Tony and Sheila Hart, among others. This park is expected to rival many of the already established attractions.
