Movie theatRes have nothing over the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS). On Wednesday, December 4, the financial institution creatively transformed its Half-Way Tree branch into a mini theatre for the launch of its new JN TV network programmes.

Under the theme 'Movie Style', guests were sent invitations which granted them access to the 'theatre' and the opportunity to indulge in snack delights from a concessionary stand, serving hot dogs, popcorn, and nachos and cheese.

The focus of the event was to sensitise guests to the newest addition to the offerings of JNBS.

In a well-packaged, 15-minute presentation, guests were given a synopsis of the format of the programmes. Some of the pro-grammes were hosted by JNBS staff members and featured topics relating to financial and lifestyle matters.

JNBS Assistant General Manager Leon Mitchell said the new programmes of the TV network are being used to inform and educate members and employees.

"Our special programmes were designed to engage our members in a creative way as they transact business in the JN branches and MoneyShop network, locally and overseas," he said.

JN members may eventually see themselves on the shows, as members, employees and the products and services of the building society, will be featured regularly, in addition to the Society's corporate social involvement in sundry community and national activities.

The programmes will be aired on the JN TV Network, throughout JN branches and MoneyShops islandwide, as well as at JNBS representative offices in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, and at the office of JN subsidiary, the National Building Society of Cayman, in Grand Cayman.
