Saint International model Korey Rowe is steadily building his international profile among global fashion insiders. The male winner of the Fashion Face of The Caribbean 2011 and University of the West Indies graduate has fused intellect with tropical charm to win over some of fashion's most elite clients.

Korey's physical presence (think of the steely six pack and rugged profile) has understandably attracted comparisons to legendary supermodel Tyson Beckford.

"Korey is bringing a refreshing profile to the model industry - that is a male model who is articulate, highly educated, sophisticated, and self-motivated," notes Saint International's CEO Deiwght Peters of his latest protégé.

Peters emphasised that many aspiring models underestimate the value and currency of a good personality.

Last year, Korey's suave demeanour was catapulted into the international spotlight when he starred on America's Next Top Model, after he was cast by the show's creator and executive producer, international supermodel Tyra Banks.

"It has been an incredible feeling, I am very pleased with my development strategy and the way my mother agency, Saint International, is guiding my international career," Korey tells Outlook.

Collaborating agencies include Red Models (New York), Place Models (Germany), and Fusion (Cape Town, South Africa).

IN IT FOR LONG HAUL

"I want to be in this business for a long time and I am aiming for the top. I hope this will open other doors for me," says the Munro College alumnus.

So far, Korey has made international runway appearances for brands such as Telfar, Monsieur Belange, and Tour Designs, among others. He made a special guest appearance at the United Colors Of Fashion Charity Show, which featured supermodel Chanel Iman.

His editorial credits are growing with appearances for leading lens man Ruven Afanador for his Icons of Fashion edit gig, Marquis Look Book, Artzy Magazine spread for designer Nana Boateng. His sartorial imagery was also lent to Paper Cut Magazine in a spread by James Weber. One of his favourite stints was being a fit model for international menswear bible GQ.
