The Couples chain of resorts had not one but two anniversary celebrations dominating last weekend in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

On Friday, January 17, it was the relatively new kid on the block, Couples Sans Souci, celebrating in style eight years as a member of the chain. It was 1920s 'Gatsby Glamour', and guests came dressed to impress. Feathers, fringes and pearls ruled the starry night. The elegant black and white decor and feather centrepieces transported the resort back to a time when style and sophistication were hallmarks of any shindig.

Music, champagne, good food and great company had guests living the glamorous life all night. With ska hits, jazz favourites, and contemporary ditties permeating the night, the dance floor soon became ground zero for all merrymakers, but only after the delectable offerings, created by Couples' corporate executive chef Stefan Spath and his team, satisfied palates and left guests satisfied. The tasty creations included succulent cuts of beef Wellington accompanied by red wine jus, delectable grilled lobster, and perfectly cooked salmon.

To close the night, guests were ushered to the beach for a spectacular fireworks display that is sure to usher in many more years of prosperity for the resort.

Tower Isle hits 36!

Fast-forward to Saturday night and the spotlight
shifts to Couples Tower Isle where it was time to celebrate the resort's
36th year as one of Jamaica's finest.

But as the
appointed time approached, the heavens opened up and showers of
blessings rained down as if to guarantee at least another three decades
for the resort.

However, rain or shine, the show had
to go on - and go on it did in a big way! With the Patio restaurant
boasting delectable stations for all tastes, guests were treated to a
gastronomic fare of epic proportions. And just in case anyone felt
guilty afterwards, the Silver Bird Orchestra was on hand to help them
work it off.

Later, when Gem Myers took to the stage,
she had everyone on their feet into the wee hours of the
morning.
