Feedback to Michael Abrahams' online column in Monday's Gleaner titled 'So you want to be a gynaecologist?'

Well said. The truth is that no one really knows the work of gynaecologists. They think it's all fun and games. There is a dark side, too. ... Good job in explaining what we do and the life that we live.

Wonderful piece, Michael, and continue to be a blessing to your patients. ob/gyns do support and share in such important times in a woman's life, both joyful and sad. I affectionately refer to my ob/gyn who delivered my children as the best thing since sliced bread. :)

Quite an amusing article, but yet so true. I shared with my ob/gyn colleagues and they thought it was hilarious. ... Dr Abrahams gave a small peek into his world. These ob/gyn physicians and their FAMILIES sacrifice more than you (the layperson) will ever know.

Well written, and I thank this doctor for being so honest and forthcoming about what he does.
