Di Grill Shack, which has gained popularity as one of Kingston's most popular and best-tasting gourmet fast-food eateries, has now opened a dine-in restaurant and bar at 71 Lady Musgrave Road.

The fast-food eatery, known for its meat lovers and vegetarian on-the-go service, has now expanded to facilitate even more, including an outdoor dining experience. When they first opened in their Sovereign Centre location, Restaurant Manager George Makhoul told Food that they would be expanding, and they did just that. According to Makhoul, the business has been really good and, because of that and feedback from customers, he has decided that the timing is right to open another location.

"We have been here only about three weeks now, and we are actually getting more business than was expected; and the dinner is picking up, which is great," he shared with Food.

According to Makhoul, old and new customers alike are impressed with the new location as it has a more relaxing atmosphere and they now have the opportunity to drink wine or any of our other mixes available at the bar, along with their food. "Just come and sit down and we will take of you," he encouraged.

The eatery, which now employs approximately 20 persons, will be open on weekdays, Monday to Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday to Saturday 11 a.m. to midnight or until, depending on the crowd, and on Sundays from noon to 9 p.m. or after, depending on the crowd as well. Makhoul was quick to reassure our team that the prices are reasonable and the quality and quantity of the food is superb.

The new family-friendly location is set to cater to persons wishing to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, business and business meetings.

"Our old customers are loving it so far, and they are impressed with the food. They were expecting the same quality or better, and they were not disappointed when they came out to try the new location," he said.

Makhoul informed Food that they have expanded the menu as well to include steaks of all kinds, salmon, and the popular baby back ribs.

New kids on the block are their hot-ticket items such as the pulled pork sandwich, which Makhoul informed Food is moving very fast, as well as the garlic chicken pasta.

According to Makhoul, "My experiences from the last location helped me to keep my products consistent; and if I do change, it's for something better as consistency is key. Customer satisfaction is like the backbone in our business. Customers have confidence in our food, so we have to live up to that," he ended.
