Red Stripe official suppliers of Diageo Crown Royal

Continuing its track record of providing a diverse line of premium products, Red Stripe has announced that beginning this month (March), it will be the official supplier of Diageo's Crown Royal, the number-one Canadian whisky in the world.

This legendary whisky, created in 1939 to celebrate the visit of the King of England, has a blend of 50 distinct, full-bodied whiskies matured in white oak barrels. It is manufactured in a bottle size of one litre with an alcohol by volume of 40 per cent.

Brian Pengelley, sales director at Red Stripe, notes that the company is elated to now be supplying this first-class whisky. "Crown Royal is a Diageo brand and is one of the world's top selling whiskys. This addition to the Red Stripe portfolio will no doubt be accepted and celebrated by whisky lovers across the island. Crown Royal has won several distinctive awards in international competitions that confirm its place among the world's finest," he added.

Ingredients:

- 1oz Crown Royal

- 1tsp sugar

-- 1-3 dashes of bitters

- A splash of water.

In a shaker, muddle sugar, water and bitters. Add Crown Royal. Shake with ice, and pour into an Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with lemon twist, orange slice and maraschino cherry.
