The Eden Lifestyle
Kingston now has a fully functional lifestyle centre that caters to all aspects of you - mind, body, and spirit.
Ever since the EHF Resource Development Limited acquired the property in 2011, it has been undergoing extensive renovations so that Eden Gardens Wellness Resort & Spa can now be positioned to become the health-and-wellness mecca of the Caribbean.
Born from the vision of its Executive Chairman Professor Henry Lowe, Eden Gardens Wellness Resort & Spa officially opened its door two weeks ago. It is now a model wellness and lifestyle centre, offering a range of positive lifestyle products and services by professional medical, health and wellness practitioners.
The facility
Eden Gardens is a three-level property with defined functional spaces for alternative medical consultation, positive lifestyle services such as a spa, gym, banqueting, and conference and development training facilities, dining options, shops, and hotel accommodations. The redeveloped property now boasts a herbal health and beauty store, fine dining and entertainment spaces; exquisite and modern accommodations; a teahouse and, not to mention, the wide array of alternative medical services such as acupuncture, auriculotherapy, chiropractic and nutrition consultation, fitness facilities; anti-ageing, detoxification, and de-stress therapy facilities in its pioneering semi-contempo spa.
The company's mandate aligned with the mantra of the Environmental Health Foundation is to enhance the quality of people's lives and in keeping with that, the company has moved towards sustainable tourism, and environmental preservation and conservation. Since its redevelopment, the facility has implemented the use of green technology in all its operational initiatives to include a modern state-of-the-art rainwater harvesting system, a VRV inverter air-conditioning system, photovoltaic (PV) system and a recycling programme in collaboration with DECS Solid Waste Management Limited.
Each room and passageway has been outfitted with light emitting diodes (LEDs) which are the most energy- efficient units available on the market. All paper toiletries used at Eden Gardens are 60 per cent recycled materials and their cleaning supplies are organic and environmentally-friendly.
The Eden Gardens facilities is an amalgamation of services customised to cater to your every need. With the stresses of everyday life, who wouldn't want to indulge in a little spa therapy now and again? The Outlook team recently went on a tour of the facilities to showcase all the unique offerings.
