Caveen Reddie crowned Miss Beaches Negril

WESTERN BUREAU:Caveen Reddie of the Animations Department was crowned winner of the Miss Beaches Negril Resort and Spa 2014 title last Friday night.

Reddie, who wore the sash Miss Tolani Brothers, beat 11 other contestants from various departments in the hotel.

She won for herself a five night/six day stay at any Sandals or Beaches property, Sandals Corporate University Scholarship valued at US$120 for course certification from the American Hospitality Educational Institute, as well as J$25,000 cash, a medal and a microwave oven.

The first runner-up was Vennesia Bennett of the Dining Room, who placed second. Bennett, who was sponsored by Margaritaville Negril, also won a Sandals Corporate University Scholarship valued at US$120 for course certification from the American Hospitality Educational Institute, a three night/four day stay at any Sandals/Beaches property J$15,000, a medal, and a toaster oven.

The second runner-up, Miss Uzuri International, Genette Murray of the Front Office, received a day pass for four at any Sandals or Beaches property, JA$10,000 cash, a medal, and a blender.

Among the other top five were Miss Transwest Ltd, Diana Morris of the Watersports Department and Miss Sound Illusion Entertainment; Tashagay Lewis of the Kitchen, who also copped the Most Congenial sectional award.

Reddie won the Most Aware award while Bennett won the Best Smile award. Murray was given the Most Talented Award.

Other contestants who participated were Mitsy Dyer, Asha Randall, Stacy-Ann Watson, Monique Patterson, Shaneka James, Shellydean Bartley, and Samantha Hamilton.
