Carnival vixens
Conquest and Surrender was the theme of this year's Bacchanal 2014 staging, and last Sunday the streets of Kingston were swarming with revellers who came out donning a few of the fab costumes for all to see.
Despite there being teething pains for some patrons, the final product was a sea of glitz and glamour as the skimpily clad men and women flocked to the streets show-casing a few elaborate and lavish costume designs.
Twelve spectacular costumes and four accompanying T-shirt sections took to the streets, seeing more than 2,000 revellers representing various sponsors, playing 'pretty mas'. The road march was led by the King costume - 'Lord of the Goban', specially flown into the island by Digicel, and the Pepsi Queen costume - 'Phoenix'. There were a number of musical trucks with some being supplied by a cadre of DJs, plus Kes the band.
Here are is a glimpse of a few of the fantastic costumes that were 'chipping down the road'.
