Saint Style Week excites

Lights, camera, fashion. Saint International kicked off their annual Style Week Series on Thursday, May 23, in true 'Glitz, Glam 'n Style'. This year, they partnered with Silver Star Motors, transforming the company's Mercedes-Benz showroom into a luxurious haven of glamour and style.
With formalities aside from Deiwght Peters, CEO of Saint International, and the general manager of Silver Star Motors, Sloan Jackson, specially invited guests took their seats on either side of the runway eagerly awaiting the featured fashion lines which were guaranteed to be nothing short of fabulous.
Elan by Heather Laine rocked the runway first with her beautiful spring/summer line. Bright polka dots and pastels transitioned into her summer line of black and white, playing with shades of gray all topped off by Cinderella Hats.
MaxBrown Boutique was up next and the suits were nothing short of suave, presenting refined tuxes of varying textures and shades, with colour among dark, neutral,
pastel and plaid undertones.
Intermission came with a
spin as guests were invited to take the E-Class Mercedes for a test
drive.
The final line of the night was by this year's
Avant Garde Designer of the Year, Tasha Gordon. Models in her TNT line
made their way down the runway behind a Mercedes-Benz in cruise control.
The dark and lovely designs followed the suits as the models dazzled.
From earth tones to reds, regal purple and blues, the concept of glowing
glitter was the prevailing thread throughout her line, keeping it all
together and closing the show with a
bang.
International Mecca of
Style
On Saturday night, the showroom again dazzled
for the all-white event - International Mecca of
Style.
The night's collections were just a preview of
the upcoming trends for spring/ summer 2015. Hair, shoes, accessories
and outfits on point fused with a blend of drama, talent and precision,
painted a silhouette of fashion perfection.
The first
designer for the evening was Pebbles King, with her wedding dress
collection. Silk, lace, tulle with splashes of vibrant colours lit up
the runway.
Tonia Samuels, a fashion design student at
the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, wowed
patrons with her mixture of blues, greens, and bright yellow, with a
splash of animal print.
Kurt Campbell, the first male
designer for the evening, dubbed his line 'tropical glamour'. Colourful
synthetic flowers lined the tails, waists and shoulders of his dresses
of varying lengths. His touch of colours brought sunshine to a
glamorously dark night, and many thought it was
amazing.
The youngest designer of the night, Keshon
Hawthorne, had the audience on the edge of their seats when his models
hit the runway. His colour palate was exceptional. Red and black in
beautiful combination blazed the runway with accessories by G&G
Fashion being the icing on the cake.
Neahlis by Lisa
McIntosh-Aris brought back an incredibly feminine touch to the night
with her signature colourful flowing designs.
Next,
the audience was taken on a fashionable flight to New York with Donovan
Depass. The Jamaican colours dominated with splashes of red and orange
thrown in the mix. Working with a variety of materials that included
corduroy and plastic, it was a line the audience really
appreciated.
Lights off was later echoed from the
changing room of the last designer of the evening -
illusion with luxury, transforming a church hat into a black top and a
red dress. Being the final and most sophisticated designer for the
night, O'Brian showed individuals that he can create something from
anything.
