WESTERN BUREAU:Sandra Molyneaux has lived the life of two 25-year-old women and remains the owner of a 21-year-old body.
Owner of Dunbars River Petcom gas station in Westmoreland, Molyneaux hosted her 50th birthday party at the newest and most exclusive development in Montego Bay - The Club House at Reading Heights, on Saturday, July 26.
Held at the club's infinity pool, the lights of the city and the lagoons at Freeport were the perfect backdrop to the sounds of the incredibly talented Concord Band, which rocked the hills and the valleys at Reading.
The mother of two, who is married to renowned Westmoreland medical practitioner, Dr Eustace Molyneaux, could not have selected a more stunning venue to celebrate with friends and family who travelled from all over for the big 50, black-and-gold-themed celebration.
Decorator Sharon Haughton used black and gold paisley print runners and burnt orange accent on the tables, while draping the trellis covering the food stations with complementary colours and hanging Sunny Vandas (orchids).
The city's event chef extraordinaire, Rose Lee, and her team presented a menu of the most delicious and tastefully done seasoned rice and peas, curried goat, baked chicken, fried fish and bammy, vegetable lasagne, a suckling pig, garden salad, and cole slaw, completing a feast of wonders.
Molyneaux's 50th birthday cake was 'three the nice way' - a mix of fruit, lychee and coconut. Three layers and three different cakes, all on one pedestal.
The party was a jam session highlighted by the sweet sounds of the '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s, played beautifully by the drums, keyboard, saxophone and bass guitar thumped by the contemporary Concord Band.
