Edwards in doubt for 20/20 semifinal

West Indies pacer Fidel Edwards is in doubt for the 20/20 World Cup semi-final against Sri Lanka tomorrow morning at The Oval in England.



The match is scheduled to bowl off at 11:30 a.m. Jamaica time.



Edwards has failed to recover from the same back injury that forced him to miss Monday’s five-wicket victory over England at The Oval and sat out today’s practice session.



Edwards, who has been West Indies’ outstanding bowler for the past few months in all formats of the game, has been diagnosed with an irritation of the nerve root in his lower back.
