Trade unions in Trinidad and Tobago remain divided during the country’s observance of Labour Day today.

One union has said it would be staying away from the traditional rally in Fyzabad as it fears that clashes with other unions may occur.

The president of the Public Service Association Jennifer Baptiste-Primus has accused the powerful Oilfield Workers Trade Union of poaching its members.

The National Union of Government and Federated Workers Union is also at odds with the Oilfield Trade Union.
